Scot Somes was born and raised in the Denver area and enjoys living an active Colorado lifestyle with his family.

Scot earned his Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This three-year program consists of 2850 hours of education including over 1000 hours of clinical internship. He was certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine by the National CertificationCommission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). This includes certification in Clean Needle Technique.

Scot earned his MBA from the University of Denver in 1998 and his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1990. He currently serves as a Commander in the US Navy Reserves.

Scot believes in treating the whole person and the philosophy of Chinese Medicine. In order to treat his patients, he takes an active role in helping his patients understand their health and health goals. By understanding the whole person, he is able to address underlying issues that have long term benefits. This includes diet, exercise, lifestyle changes as well as herbal medicine and acupuncture.
